Do not immerse the rice cooker in water, nor rinse it under the tap. Check that the voltage indicated on the rice cooker is compatible with that of your electrical supply. Only connect the rice cooker to an Earthed power outlet make sure that the plug is inserted. Do not use the appliance if the plug, the power cord, the inner pot, the sealing ring or the main body is damaged. Do not operate the appliance if the power cord is damaged. Any repair must be carried out by an authorized service center. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised tot make sure that they do not play with the rice cooker. Do not place cloth on the lid while the rice cooker is operational. This appliance is not for outdoor use. Keep the power cord out of the reach of the children. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of the table or worktop on which the rice cooker stands. Make sure the heating element; the temperature sensor, and the outside of the inner lid are clean and dry before you put the plug in the power socket. Do not plug in the rice cooker or press the control lever with wet hands Preparation before use: 1. Measure the rice using the measuring cup provided. Wash the rice thoroughly. Always wash the rice in a separate container to avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the pot. Put the washed rice in the inner pot. Rotate the inner pot slightly. Add rice and water in the ratio 1:2. Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum level indicated on the inner pot as this may cause the water to over flow. Press the lid release button to open the lid. Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry, put it in the rice cooker. Check that the inner pot in in proper contact with the heating element.
